On Friday 26th January we celebrated our 100th Day of School for this academic year by holding a 'Global Learning Day'. All children from Primary 1 to Primary 7 learnt about children around the world and the importance of education to the lives of children. We focused on Malawi and learnt about the 'Send my Friend to School' campaign. Children came to school wearing non-uniform and raised a fantastic amount of £305! Thank you to everyone for their most generous support of this project. The money which has been raised will be sent out to Malawi where we have a link with a family from Northern Ireland who will ensure that the money is used to help a family or group directly. This figure of £305 will be a great help towards paying for the education of a child which costs approximately £380 per year. More information will follow about how the money will be spent.
