On Friday we celebrated our first week of ‘bucket filling’ in Clare P.S. All children had their name placed in their class bucket when they were spotted showing kindness, appreciation, sympathy or simply being lovely. As one young child said “…we are filling our bucket with loveliness!” Teachers will pick a name, randomly, out of their class bucket during our Friday ‘celebration’ assembly. We feel it is an important lesson to all that an act of kindness can fill someone else’s imaginary bucket but also fill your own imaginary bucket, as being kind leaves you feeling good too!
