Sport's Day

8th Jun 2020

This week (15th June) we should have been inviting you all to our annual Sport’s Day. It should be a week of weather watching, hoping Barra Best is wrong yet again! We would have been practicing the races during class time and the excitement, adrenaline and competition would be building, especially for our Primary 7 children. It is with a heavy heart that I write to you all advising on how best we can all have fun at home instead of our usual whole school Sport’s Day. With the obstacle race being a favourite for all, young and old, I thought we should allow you to replicate this race at home.

  • Make an obstacle race in your garden;
  • Use household items to jump over, crawl under, run around, balance on, jump from, shoot into etc.;
  • Race against your family or have a time trial, one runner at a time;
  • Record a short video (not exceeding 1 minute please) or take photographs;
  • Send your short video or photographs to info@clareps.tandragee.ni.sch.uk by Friday 19th June (if desired);
  • Be competitive!

**By sending your videos or photographs we are taking this as permission to share them on the school website and social media**

         Most importantly have fun and be sure the children win!
