Today all of our children participated enthusiastically in our 'new' whole school Sport's Day. We moved away from the individual race format in an attempt to marry together teamwork, competition and enjoyment.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the variety of 16 non-stop activities, with a little hint of competition through team work.
The Primary 7 children spoken to, who have only ever competed in our individual Sport's Day races where 1st, 2nd and 3rd were awarded, were extremely complimentary and gave highly positive feedback about the activities.
The children all spurred on each other in an attempt to be the winning team, so they still had their eye on the prize! At Clare PS we pride ourselves in involving the whole school where possible, and our older children are great encouragers and role models to the younger children.
We hope the supporters enjoyed the opportunity to watch their children in a number of activities, even though it was not the normal weather for June! A huge thank you to the Primary 7 parents for supplying the delicious treats and to all parents for the coloured clothing.
