On St. Patricks day the 17th March 2019 I qualified to jump in the 128 – 85cm U10 championship at Balmoral Show. This was the first of 4 qualifiers. It was at Cavan Equestrian Centre. There were 40 other kids and ponies in my class. Firstly, Joey and I had to jump a clear round of 11 jumps which seemed higher than 85cm to me, a clear round meant we were through to the jump off. The jump off was against the clock with the 6 fastest clear rounds qualifying. My auntie Pauline is my trainer and she warmed me up and helped me learn my course and the turns for the jump off. I qualified 6th with a time of 40:05 seconds. When the results were called out I was so happy I could have cried. Qualifying for Balmoral means so much to me because it is my dream to jump in the main arena and Auntie Pauline, Mummy and I have worked so hard to get there. I will be nervous on the day but I know my superstar pony Joey will get me through. :)
